Laos Impression - 4days /3 nights ( LPE01 ) - Laos Luxury Vacation

Description :
Luang Prabang is the ancient capital of the Lane Zang (million elephants) Kingdom, dating back to the middle of the 12th Century. It sits at the intersection of the Mekong and Khan Rivers and is surrounded by green hills. In the glare of the mid-day sun, the city glows from the rays of its many golden temples. A climb to the top of Phousi Hill offers astonishing views over the vast and mostly uninhabited territories of northern Thailand and Laos; to experience sunset at Phousi Hill touches the soul. Luang Prabang is also home to the Palace of King Sisavang Vong, the last ruling king (1904-1909), and the Palace Museum houses some magnificent artifacts from his reign. Life in Luang Prabang is slow and gentle, and as you walk down the main boulevard, you don’t have to worry about cars, but rather, be sure to watch out for water buffalo and bicycles!

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival – Vientiane – Luang Prabang
Upon arrival Wattay airport, meet and transfer to the airport for a short flight to Luang Prabang. This is perhaps the best preserved traditional city in Southeast Asia. The tranquility and charm of this town with its splendid natural scenery and cultural sights make it one of the most delightful places to visit in Laos. After check-in to our hotel, we visit the impressive & timeless villas which are the legacy of the French around the centre of Luang Prabang city, then climb up to the top of Phousi Hill for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a beautiful sunset view of the city and the Mekong River. Overnight at Luang Prabang (-/L/D).

Day 2: Luang Prabang – Pak Ou Caves– Luang Prabang
Today we enjoy a short guided tour seeing the city’s oldest temple and the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong with its roof sweeping low to the ground, which represents the classical architecture of a Luang Prabang temple. We then embark on a cruise upstream on the Mekong River which also gives us a beautiful view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious of Pak Ou caves, crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes. Along the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xang Hai, where they make the local rice wine. On return, we take a short drive to Ban Phanom, well known for its hand weaving. Overnight in Luang Prabang (B/L/D)

Day 3: Luang Prabang – Vientiane
Visit the National Museum at the former Royal Palace, which displays a lovely collection of artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the day of the early kings right through the last sovereign and the central market is not to be missed. We visit these sights this morning before we take a flight back to Vientiane. Upon arrival, we visit the major temples including the oldest - Wat Sisaket with thousands of miniature Buddha Image.
